Niester’s German Restaurant & Deli

My first place to review comes from Granbury, Texas, which is a town just southwest of Fort Worth. While driving home and looking for a place to dine for dinner, I encountered this small building boasting great German food. I made a quick U-turn, and I am glad I did. Niester’s German Restaurant & Deli was just what I imagined it would be. . . and it even smells of bratwurst as you walk through the door. As you enter, they have a deli and meat counter where you can purchase fresh sourdough loaves and all of the great German sausage your heart desires.  I chose the German Sampler Plate for my entrée so that I could sample the Pork Chop, Wienerschitzel, Rouladen, and their fantastic sausage. Of course, before the meal even came out, I had already tossed down several pieces of Sourdough bread pieces with plenty-o-butter to accompany them. The prices were quite reasonable and the food was fantastic and authentic. As I left the restaurant, I grabbed a printed menu and then noticed that they also serve breakfast. . . Well, guess where I will be going next week?!

You can visit Niester’s at 4426 E. Hwy. 377  Granbury, TX 76049 817-573-0211
